Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

No charge. Electronics are part of the Wednesday scheduled pickup for a city sanitation customer at no published charge, and the county drop-off sites accept household hazardous and electronic material from residents at no charge.

Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the gray recycling cart, because the city lists hazardous materials and electronics on the do not list and warns that contamination can get a whole load rejected. Wipe personal data from computers, phones and tablets before they leave the house.
Appliances, electronics and televisions are scheduled for pickup on any Wednesday rather than going out with the carts, and refrigerator and freezer doors must be removed before the unit goes curbside for safety. The city charges the published Freon removal fee on a unit that contains refrigerant.
