Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Televisions are named on the acceptable bulk waste list, and electronic waste generally is banned from carts and routed to Lee County's facility or one of the city's two annual events.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Free at Lee County's permanent household chemical waste facility in Fort Myers and at the city's semi-annual household chemical waste and bulk events, and a television rides the free curbside bulk collection.
When & how
Put the television out on the normal collection day, take electronics to 6441 Topaz Court in Fort Myers Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon, or use a city event on the first Saturday in May or November.
Get it ready
Erase personal data before handover, keep electronic waste out of the garbage cart and out of the bulk pile if it is not a listed item, and use the events rather than the Kismet Parkway drop-off site, which refuses household chemical waste and liquids.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

The bulk pile follows the trash day rules

Bulk waste, garbage, recycling and yard waste are collected on the same day, so the pile goes out with the regular run. Every item sits within three feet of the road and at least five feet from a hydrant, mailbox, car, storm drain or utility pole, nothing is stacked, cardboard is broken down into the recycle bin, and anything that fits in the trash bin belongs in the bin. A single item over 150 pounds is refused, and a move-out load has to be scheduled because it is not part of the normal bulk pickup.

The drop-off site and the two annual events

The bulk waste drop-off site at 1200 Kismet Parkway takes bulky waste, white goods and horticultural waste from residents only, Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the entrance off NW 14th Avenue and proof of residency possibly requested. It refuses regular garbage and recyclables, construction debris, and household chemical waste, paints and liquids. The two annual city events with Waste Pro and Lee County run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. on November 7, 2026 at the City Hall parking lot on 1015 Cultural Park Boulevard and on May 1, 2027 across from City Hall at 1020 Cultural Park Boulevard, taking chemicals, electronics, batteries, automotive oil and gas and propane tanks, with no white goods accepted.

A household with drain cleaners, pool chemicals, pesticides, liquid paint and thinners, fluorescent tubes, electronics, car and boat batteries, automotive oil or gas and propane tanks.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Free at Lee County's permanent household chemical waste and electronics recycling facility for Cape Coral residents, with the county answering on 239-533-8000.
Arrange it
Drive to 6441 Topaz Court in Fort Myers, open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to noon, or use a city collection event.

Paints, liquids and chemicals are refused in the garbage cart, in the bulk pile and at the city drop-off site, so this facility or an event is the only published route, and the city events are held only on the first Saturday in May and November each year.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Cape Coral has one curbside route and two drop-off paths. Bulk waste, garbage, recycling and yard waste are all collected on the same day, so furniture, mattresses, televisions, exercise machines and white goods go out with the regular run within three feet of the road, never stacked and never over 150 pounds per item, and a replaced appliance can also be booked as a free white goods pickup through Waste Pro on 239-337-0800. Anything that will not wait or will not fit goes to the city bulk waste drop-off site at 1200 Kismet Parkway, entered off NW 14th Avenue, open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for residents only, which takes bulky waste, white goods and horticultural waste but refuses garbage, recyclables, construction debris and chemicals. Chemicals, paint, liquids, fluorescent tubes, electronics, batteries, automotive oil and gas and propane tanks go to Lee County's facility at 6441 Topaz Court in Fort Myers, open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the first Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon, or to the city's events on the first Saturday in May and November at City Hall. Construction and demolition debris has no city route at all, so a project load needs a private or out-of-city site. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Cape Coral.

How much does TV removal cost in Cape Coral?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Cape Coral?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
