From $81.05 for the published residential rate per ton for appliances and metal goods at the Collier County landfill, with separate published per ton rates for bulky items such as furniture and for construction and demolition debris. Collier County residential customers delivering to the landfill at 3730 White Lake Blvd, which is open Monday to Saturday and takes hand unloaded material until 4:15 p.m. The City curbside appliance pickup is part of the scheduled bulk appointment and its charge is confirmed with the Solid Waste Division instead.
When & how
With the scheduled bulk date at the curb, booked at least 48 hours ahead on 239-213-4700 and out by 7:00 a.m., or taken to the county landfill during its weekday and Saturday hours.
Get it ready
Remove the door so a child cannot be trapped inside, empty the unit completely, and ask the Solid Waste Division when the appointment is booked whether a refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner holding gas needs degassing or tagging first, because the City publishes no refrigerant step for the curbside pickup. The county charges for freon handling per item at its own sites, so confirm that cost before a self haul visit.
Bulky items are collected only on dates the City schedules, so the pickup starts with a call to 239-213-4700 and the appointment has to be made at least 48 hours before the requested day. Nothing goes to the curb more than 24 hours before that date, and everything has to be out by 7:00 a.m. Set the load out together so one scheduled visit takes it all.

The collection belongs to the residential solid waste service billed with water and sewer, and the amount appears only inside the dated rate sheets linked from the Finance billing and collection page, so confirm the charge with the Solid Waste Division at 239-213-4700.
Arrange it
Call 239-213-4700 at least 48 hours before the day you want, confirm the items, then set the load at the collection point by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled date and no more than 24 hours ahead of it.
The items have to be ones the City will take on the bulk route, and hazardous or liquid waste, tires and heavy steel are not part of it. A commercial container may not be used for appliances or construction and demolition debris either.
Bulky items such as household furniture, residential appliances and metal goods, construction and demolition debris, residential yard waste and biomass, scrap metals, sludge, tires and special waste categories that need a pre accepted profile.
Mixed loads of biomass or construction and demolition material with other waste will not be accepted, so the material is separated before the visit. Category special waste such as asbestos and ash needs site preparation, pre acceptance and a special waste profile, and the larger vehicle and boat categories carry their own published per ton rates.
