Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
The City publishes no rate for an exercise machine and does not name one, so call Waste Management Services on 850-891-4968 and confirm whether the machine counts as a bulky item, whether it fits the six by four by four foot limit and which week it belongs to. A machine that does not fit becomes a special pickup at the published timed rate.
When & how
Confirm first, then use the bulky round on the Red or Blue week for the address, set out no sooner than the weekend before the pickup date.
Get it ready
Describe the machine when you call, including whether it folds down and how much space it takes, since anything larger than six feet by four feet by four feet is outside the bulky service. Take off loose weights and the console, break the machine down as far as it comes apart, and keep the pieces together in one pile.
A bulky item can be no larger than six feet long by four feet wide by four feet high and has to be something that will not fit in the garbage barrel. The City names appliances, small furniture, mattresses, lamps, bikes, chairs, tables, disassembled swing sets, plastic pools and barbecue grills. Anything bigger, or a pile that cannot sit at the curb, goes to a Cash for Trash event or to a special pickup billed by the quarter hour with disposal costs added.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Cost & conditions
From $106.94 for the published special residential pickup rate, charged per quarter hour with a minimum of the same amount and with disposal costs added. City of Tallahassee residential waste management customers requesting a pickup of bulky items, yard waste or construction and demolition debris. The rate is timed, travel time is not included, and the per ton disposal fees on the same sheet are $63.05 for garbage, $50.18 for clean yard waste, $63.05 for mixed bulk waste and $160 for tires.
Arrange it
Submit the special pickup request, allow three to five business days from the request date, and have the material staged where the crew can reach it when the visit is scheduled.
The charge is timed, so a large or slow load costs more than the minimum, and the disposal fee category depends on what the load contains. Commercial customers always need a special pickup rather than the residential bulky round.

Which option covers a Peloton, spin bike or recumbent bike?+
Choose Exercise bike for one stationary bike, including spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes. Peloton and other brands use the same stationary-bike choice. A treadmill, walking pad and outdoor bicycle are different items, so select their matching options.
How do I book free weights, a weight rack or a bench?+
Enter the combined weight in pounds for your dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Booking rounds that total up to the next 10 lb unit: 25 lb uses three units. Stands, racks and benches are separate items and do not include the loose weights. Add each one that is going.

How much is an extra garbage container?+
The City publishes a monthly charge for an additional garbage container on top of the regular residential rate, a higher monthly charge for premium residential service, and the regular monthly charge for a home.
