Take the devices to a Home Chemical and Recycling Center. The Authority's customer line is 561-697-2700, and two of the centers, at 6161 N Jog Rd in West Palm Beach and 13400 S State Road 7 in Delray Beach, are listed as open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Get it ready
Keep electronics out of the blue and yellow containers and off the bulk pile, because the Village routes them to the Authority rather than through curbside collection, and wipe personal data from a computer, drive or phone before it leaves the property. Alkaline batteries may go in the garbage, but lithium batteries have to go to a center.
Hazardous material and electronics never go to the curb
Paint, pool chemicals, cleaners, propane tanks, fluorescent bulbs, used motor oil, batteries and electronics are refused at the curb, and the Village routes them to the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, which runs seven Home Chemical and Recycling Centers and takes the material free from county residents. There is no curbside collection for it at all.

Can you pick up old electronics today in Wellington?+

Do you erase data from old computers?+
Data erasure and certified data destruction are not included in Dropcurb removal. Back up the information you need, then follow the manufacturer’s sign-out and reset instructions before pickup. If a device cannot be erased or contains sensitive business information, arrange suitable data handling before giving it away. Yes. Box of electronics is an existing option for small devices, cables and chargers together in one box. A monitor, desktop computer and printer each have their own item option. Send a photo before booking for a large or heavy box, unusual contents or separate batteries so we can confirm the fit.
Where do televisions and computers go in Wellington?+

Who collects trash in Wellington?+
The Village Solid Waste Department oversees residential and commercial trash, recycling and vegetation collection through a contracted hauler, which the Village pages name as FCC Environmental Services from December 30, 2021. What is Wellington's bulk trash collection?+
A weekly bulk collection for items too large for the cart, with up to four cubic yards per household. The published examples are refrigerators, ranges, toilets, mattresses, carpet cut to four foot lengths and under 50 pounds, washers and dryers, water heaters, and wood cut under six feet with the nails removed. The pile goes out 24 hours before the bulk day and sits at least three feet from mailboxes and the automated container.Official guidance
What yard waste will not be collected?+
Vegetation has to come from routine residential yard maintenance. Tree removal, limbs over ten inches in diameter, trunks, stumps, root balls, lot or land clearing vegetation, and anything needing wheeled or tracked machinery to remove are not collected, and residents have to arrange those separately.Official guidance
What is the $9.00 per cubic yard charge?+
It is the hauler's fee for removing a tagged pile as is, when a resident chooses not to correct a pile that does not follow the Village guidelines. The alternative is to fix the pile so it is collected on the next scheduled pickup day.Official guidance
What happens after a storm?+
The Village publishes a separate hurricane debris management guide and links it from its solid waste page alongside the Palm Beach County hurricane guide. Vegetation from storm damage or land clearing is not part of routine curbside vegetation collection, so check the Village's storm debris guidance before piling it at the curb.Official guidance
