Furniture, mixed loads and yard waste go to either county site at the published per ton rate, or the hauler can be asked to take them.
City cost & eligibility
From $5.2 for the published rate of 5.20 for every 100 pounds on a furniture or mixed load. Furniture, mixed loads and yard waste at either facility are charged 104.03 per ton, or 5.20 for every 100 pounds, and up to eight bags of residential garbage a day are free at either site. Proof of residency is required, waste from outside Pasco is not accepted, the East Pasco Transfer Station does not accept commercial waste, and a tare weight fee of 2.00 applies.
When & how
Use the West Pasco Resource Recovery drop off at 14606 Hays Road in Spring Hill or the East Pasco Transfer Station at 9626 Handcart Road in Dade City, both open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Get it ready
Tell the scale house what the load contains so it is directed to the right area, and separate clean metal from other material, because residential metal is free on its own but charged when it is part of a mixed load. A mattress is not named on the county price list, so ask at the scale or with the solid waste line at 727-847-2411 rather than assuming the furniture rate applies.
The county price list does not name a mattress, so the charge has to be confirmed at a county facility or with the hauler.
City cost & eligibility
Pasco County publishes furniture, yard waste, construction debris and mixed loads by the ton but does not name a mattress anywhere on the list, so confirm how the load will be classified at the scale house or by calling Pasco County Solid Waste at 727-847-2411 before hauling. The hauler on the account can also be asked to take the piece.
When & how
Ask at the scale house or by phone, then deliver the mattress to the West Pasco Resource Recovery drop off in Spring Hill or the East Pasco Transfer Station in Dade City during their Monday through Saturday hours.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and separate from clean metal, since clean metal is free on its own but charged inside a mixed load, and declare it clearly so the load is directed to the right area.
Self haul loads need proof of residency and a clear declaration
Both county facilities are open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., require proof of residency, refuse waste from outside Pasco, and ask the driver to tell the scale house what the load contains so it is directed to the right area. Up to eight bags of household trash a day are free, clean residential metal is free unless it is mixed, and a 2.00 tare weight fee applies.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Before you book
A few things worth knowing.
Mattress removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Wesley Chapel.
How much does mattress removal cost in Wesley Chapel?+
The price depends on the mattress size you choose. A queen mattress is $99 as the first item and $30 as an additional item. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Add any box spring or frame separately, then review your total and any applicable tax before payment.
Can I book same-day mattress pickup in Wesley Chapel?+
Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates shown at checkout. Have the mattress outside and accessible according to your confirmation. Your booking is for a day rather than an exact arrival time, and we text you when your hauler is on the way.
Is my box spring or bed frame included in mattress removal?+
The mattress price covers the mattress only. Add your box spring, bed frame or adjustable base separately if those are going too. Choose the size and type that match each item. The combined price appears before booking.
Will you carry my mattress downstairs or out of my apartment?+
Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange to move the mattress out of your apartment and down interior stairs before pickup. We load it and take it away from an accessible outdoor spot. Check your building’s access rules before arranging the move outside.
Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed. Dropcurb books a pickup day, not the retailer’s delivery window. Contact us before booking if access is limited to a short time.
