Yard waste goes out as a single pile of up to ten cubic yards, roughly eighteen feet long, four feet wide and four feet high, in front of the home the vegetation came from the day before the scheduled pickup. Leaves, grass and small clippings are bagged, branches are cut to four feet and six inches across, stumps are no more than twelve inches across and stacked neatly, and wood, board and lumber are not vegetation. Keep the pile off water and gas meters, out of cardboard boxes and garbage containers, ten feet from obstructions, and never mix it with other items, because a pile over ten cubic yards is a violation subject to a fee.
