Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Text us about your setup
  1. Arrange any unmounting first.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

  3. Show us the TV that is going.

Add a location photo and access notes after booking. Follow the readiness instructions in your confirmation. For exposed broken glass or unusual damage, send a photo and check with us before booking.

Special rules apply

Household electronics are not part of routine collection. Polk County accepts them at its household hazardous waste facility, and bulk refuse that is neither furniture nor an appliance is charged by volume.

City cost & eligibility
Polk County takes household electronics from residents at no additional fee, with a limit of five components per visit, while the City charges bulky non-horticultural refuse by the cubic yard. Confirm which route fits the item before you move it.
When & how
Drop electronics at the county facility during its posted hours, or ask the City whether the item can go out with a scheduled bulk pickup.
Get it ready
Keep screens intact and unbroken, and separate any loose batteries for the household hazardous waste route.

Keep the pile loose and reachable at the curb, and confirm whether the item needs to be broken down.

Request bulk before setting it out

Bulk pickup is a scheduled service, so the couch, mattress, appliance or pile waits for the confirmed date rather than the routine route. Describe every item when you request the pickup.

Two county routes serve Winter Haven addresses. The household hazardous waste facility on Environmental Loop takes chemicals and electronics from residents at no additional fee with a five-component limit, and the northeast convenience center takes bulky, yard and construction material, tires and scrap metal at flat residential rates with proof of residency. Polk County now routes residents away from the North Central Landfill and to its transfer station, so confirm the current drop-off location and hours before loading.
