Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Canton runs the collection in two layers and both of them reward a phone call first. Waste Pro handles the weekly garbage route and bills residents directly, the City schedules yard waste and bulky item pickups on request through Public Works, and the City also runs a free collection site at 2525 Ridge Road for city residents where lumber, carpet, metal, cardboard, appliances and household furniture can be dropped. What the City will not take has a county home. The Cherokee County Recycling Center at 470 Blalock Road takes appliances, batteries, mattresses, paint, bagged household trash, polystyrene, all metal and every electronic device except tube televisions and CRT monitors, with published per item charges for the pay items and payment by card or check. Its Hobgood Park location takes single stream recyclables and glass only. Neither the City site nor the county center takes motor oil, antifreeze or tires, and the county center refuses light bulbs, plastic film, wood or plastic furniture and construction waste, so those need a retailer or a scheduled event that should be confirmed first. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Canton.

How much does TV removal cost in Canton?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Canton?

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.
