Get it ready
Empty the unit before it leaves the house and keep food, liquids and loose parts out of it. Keep the appliance out of the household cart, because the hauler services only the two supplied carts. A refrigerator or freezer still holding refrigerant should be treated as a hard-to-recycle load and not put at the curb until a receiving route is confirmed.
Three bulk items go out on your service day, under the weight limit
McDonough keeps the large item decision simple. The sanitation company services three bulk items on your service day, and each one has to weigh less than 50 pounds, so the count and the weight are the two things to check before anything goes to the curb. The household stream rides in the 90-gallon cart and the recycling stream in the 65-gallon cart, and the hauler will not service anything outside those carts.
