Two machines count as two items.

A matching washer and dryer are still separate appliances. Add each one that is leaving so your price includes the full pickup.

Washing machine

Use Washing machine for a household front-load or top-load washer. Compact portable washing machines have a separate choice in All appliances. Empty the drum and arrange safe disconnection before pickup.

Clothes dryer

Use Dryer for a household gas or electric clothes dryer. Have gas, power and vent connections safely disconnected before moving it. Use a qualified professional when needed, especially for gas or hardwired connections.

Stacked or combined units

A separate washer and dryer count as two even when stacked. Arrange any separation before pickup. If yours is one combined machine or a connected laundry center, send a model photo before booking so we can confirm the correct scope.

Washers, dryers and appliances

Special rules apply

The city code names appliances and white goods in the list of waste it has no duty to remove, so a washer, dryer or refrigerator does not go on the kerb. The Bonneville County Transfer Station accepts appliances, with published per item fees for anything holding refrigerant.

City cost & eligibility
The transfer station publishes per item fees of 15 dollars for a small refrigerant item and 20 dollars for a large one, while a machine without refrigerant is charged as part of the load under a fee table headed for in-county commercial waste. Confirm the charge for the specific machine on 208-528-5550, and note that the city itself collects no appliance.
When & how
Haul the appliance to 2455 Hemmert Ave, open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motor oil and antifreeze, by contrast, are taken there only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with personnel on hand.
Get it ready
Empty the machine and keep it upright, and say at the desk whether it holds refrigerant, because those items are charged separately and the Hatch Pit sends refrigerant equipment back to the Transfer Station. Lithium-ion batteries are refused, so remove any battery pack before the trip.

The city leaves large items and renovation debris to the county

The city has no duty to remove dirt, earth or debris from construction, renovation or demolition, appliances and white goods, large or heavy machines, tree trunks, hazardous waste and waste oils, dead animals, or any waste that is not inside a city-provided container. Those loads go to the Bonneville County Transfer Station at 2455 Hemmert Ave or the Hatch Pit on N Recycle Rd, and the city code also bars private businesses from hauling or disposing of waste for profit inside the city, apart from licensed recycling businesses.

Haul the load to the Bonneville County Transfer Station

A household with furniture, a mattress, carpet, a bulky metal item, an appliance, tires or a general cleanout that the city will not take from the kerb.

Cost & conditions
The county prints per load fees under a heading for in-county commercial waste with no separate resident rate, publishes 15 and 20 dollar per item fees for small and large refrigerant appliances and a per size tire scale from 3 to 50 dollars, and accepts cash, cheque and card with a card convenience fee. Confirm the charge for the exact load on 208-528-5550.
Arrange it
Take the load to 2455 Hemmert Ave and scale in during the open hours of Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self hauling in Idaho Falls runs to Bonneville County. The Transfer Station at 2455 Hemmert Ave on 208-528-5550 is open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and takes household garbage, furniture, mattresses, carpet, bulky metal items and appliances, with published per item fees for refrigerant units and a published per size tire schedule, plus grass clippings and leaves, solidified latex paint and lead acid batteries. Motor oil and antifreeze are taken there only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with personnel on hand, electronic waste is refused and sent to e Cyclers of Idaho or Pacific Steel and Recycling, and proof of residence is required when the vehicle is registered outside the county. The Hatch Pit at 3690 N Recycle Rd is the renovation site: it takes construction and demolition debris, concrete, brick, drywall, soil, wood, weeds and leaves, flattened cardboard and metal, it refuses household garbage, mattresses, carpet and anything containing fabric, tires, electronics and paint, and no demolition material may arrive without abatement paperwork showing no asbestos. Hatch Pit loads are charged by vehicle on a sorted or unsorted basis, with no fee for clean wood, tree limbs and branches that can be ground for reuse. Cardboard from a household goes to the Hatch Pit, while a business can arrange a six yard cardboard container or a baled pickup with Western Recycling at 3909 N 15th E on 208-529-9908. Tires must go to an approved site under Idaho law, which also limits how many tires may be stored at one property. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Washer & dryer removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Idaho Falls.

How much does washer and dryer removal cost in Idaho Falls?

A household washing machine is $109 as a single item, and a household dryer is $109. For two machines, the highest first-item price applies once and the other uses its additional-item price. Select both to see the exact total. Loading, transportation and disposal are included in the item prices; applicable sales tax is shown before payment.

Can you remove just a washer or just a dryer?

Yes. Add only the machine that is going. A household front-load or top-load washer uses Washing machine, and a gas or electric clothes dryer uses Dryer. If both are leaving, add one of each. Compact portable washers have their own catalog choice.

Can I book same-day washer and dryer pickup in Idaho Falls?

Same-day pickup is available when you book by 2pm local time, where available. Checkout shows the dates and readiness time for your address. Arrange disconnection and outdoor access first. We text before arrival and send photos after pickup; an exact arrival appointment is not part of the booking.

Will you disconnect or unstack my washer and dryer?

Arrange utility disconnection, unstacking and the move outside before pickup. Dropcurb loads and hauls away machines from an accessible ground-level outdoor spot. Gas, hardwired and plumbing connections may need a qualified professional. Contact us with a model photo if you have a combined unit or a connected laundry center.

How do I book a stacked washer and dryer?

If they are two separate machines, add one Washing machine and one Dryer, and arrange for them to be separated and accessible outside before pickup. If they form one combined machine or connected laundry center, contact us with the model and a photo to confirm the scope before booking.

Can you take the old machines if the delivery company left them behind?

Yes. Dropcurb pickup can be booked independently of a new appliance purchase. Choose the machines that are going and arrange their preparation and outdoor placement. If your replacement delivery is still ahead, first check whether the retailer already included old-appliance haul-away.

Can a washer or dryer go out with the trash?

No. Idaho Falls City Code names appliances including white goods among the waste the city has no duty to remove, and it requires waste to be inside a city-provided container. Take the machine to the Bonneville County Transfer Station at 2455 Hemmert Ave instead, where appliances are accepted and anything holding refrigerant carries a published per item fee that the county sets separately for small and large units.Official guidance

Where do paint, oil and household chemicals go?

Chemicals never go in a cart or on the kerb. The city code names hazardous waste, toxic chemicals and waste oils among the material it has no duty to collect. Bonneville County takes solidified latex paint at the Transfer Station on 2455 Hemmert Ave, and motor oil and antifreeze are accepted there up to five gallons each on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with personnel on hand. Ask the county on 208-528-5550 for the current household hazardous waste programme before hauling chemicals.Official guidance
