Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

City cost & eligibility
No city page names an exercise machine. Bulk waste takes furniture and household clean-out items with the first loader bucket included in the cart fee, so call Public Works at 309-434-2220 to confirm how the machine is classified and whether a permit or an extra bucket charge applies.
When & how
Put the machine out with the bulk pile on your alternating bulk week once Public Works confirms the classification, or ask whether it can go to the Citizen Convenience Center instead.
Get it ready
Break the machine down where you can, keep the pile at least 4 feet from obstacles and 10 feet from parked vehicles, and put it out no earlier than 2 p.m. the day before and no later than 6 a.m. on the pickup day.
Carts go out by 6 a.m. and come back by 9 a.m. the next day
Carts go in the parkway or at the end of the driveway near the street no earlier than 2 p.m. the day before pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on the pickup day, emptied carts come back from the curb no later than 9 a.m. the day after pickup, and carts have to be stored where they are not visible from the street. Carts stay at least 4 feet from anything that would block collection and at least 10 feet from vehicles parked in the street, with the arrows on the lid pointing toward the street and the lid closed.
Bulk, brush, leaves and trimmings go out in separate piles
Bulk waste, brush, leaves and trimmings are each collected curbside every other week on the alternating weeks, and materials go out in separate piles no earlier than 2 p.m. the day before pickup and no later than 6 a.m. on the pickup day, at least 4 feet from obstacles and 10 feet from vehicles parked in the street. Brush and garden trimmings go in a garbage can or are cut to lengths of no more than six feet and stacked neatly, and during leaf collection leaves go in biodegradable bags, in piles less than 3 feet tall, or in containers less than 33 gallons and less than 35 pounds.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

A City of Bloomington Solid Waste Program customer with garbage, recycling and alternating week leaves, trimmings, brush or bulk.
Cost & conditions
From $20.88 per month for the smallest Solid Waste Program cart on the current rate table, which includes the first loader bucket of bulk waste at about 2.5 cubic yards. City of Bloomington Solid Waste Program customers, with the 65 and 95 gallon carts billed at their own monthly rates, additional loader buckets in the same week billed per bucket, and a curbside bulk fee outside the regular collection periods.
Arrange it
Call Public Works at 309-434-2220 for cart repairs, additional carts or a size change, put carts out no earlier than 2 p.m. the day before and no later than 6 a.m. on the pickup day, and buy additional garbage bag stickers at The Hub or the public library.
Commercial waste is not acceptable, carts must be stored out of sight from the street and returned from the curb by 9 a.m. the day after pickup, and leaves, garden trimmings, brush, hot ashes, solvents, paint, chemicals, oils, liquids, medical waste and household hazardous waste cannot go in a cart.
