Houses and buildings up to four units are the residential route; household appliances such as toasters, blenders and vacuums are not accepted at this site.
Material that cannot leave in the carts moves through SWANCC. Electronics go to the drop-off site at 3 Providence Way in Des Plaines on most Saturdays, construction and other landfill waste goes to the SWANCC transfer station for a fee, and household hazardous material such as oil-based paint, chemicals and batteries can be collected from the home through the village's Clean Harbors program.
