No charge. An appliance counts as one of the two bulky items included with the curbside service the household already pays for, with no additional charge when the unit is prepared as published. A unit that has not been properly drained is refused instead of collected.

Get it ready
Remove the doors from a refrigerator or freezer and have the refrigerant evacuated by a professional before the unit goes to the curb, because the guide refuses an appliance containing refrigerant that has not been properly drained. Washers, dryers and hot water heaters are named as acceptable appliances and do not need that step.
Up to two bulky items go out on the regular collection day, and no appointment is needed because the drivers identify the items during service and call them in. A mattress, a couch, a box spring or any upholstered piece has to be fully wrapped in plastic and sealed. An item that is not wrapped may be left behind, the contractor is sent back for a special pickup and the published charge for that return trip is applied to the customer.
