Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

There is no city collection route for a renovation load. Hennepin County refuses construction materials at its drop-off facilities, so the local route is the Waste Management transfer station in Maple Grove, which takes construction and demolition debris and municipal solid waste, or a licensed hauler with its own container.
Exercise machines are not named in any Maple Grove program, so a treadmill, elliptical or weight set is arranged through a hauler or taken to the Waste Management transfer station as household waste, unless the frame can go to the cleanup drop-off day as clean scrap metal.
Maple Grove does not run a year-round bulky pickup. The city holds a cleanup in the spring and another in the fall, and each one has a curbside pickup day and a Saturday drop-off day at the Public Works Facility for appliances, air conditioners, propane tanks, passenger car tires and scrap metal.
The handoff matters
Sign up and pay the curbside fee through the city form, and put the items at the curb by 7 a.m. on the pickup day, or plan to pay at the Saturday drop-off day at the Public Works Facility. It is household waste only, business waste is refused, and electronics and furniture are not accepted in either part of the event. Remove gas, oil and non-metal parts from scrap metal before you load it.
