Get it ready
Break the machine down to what two people can lift, keep it dry and complete, and leave it at the curb or alley where the cart is collected. Weights, belts and cords should travel with the machine rather than loose in the cart.
Only what fits in the cart is collected on trash day
From October 1, 2026 the hauler collects only trash that fits inside your single cart and will not pick up extra bags or items left beside it. Rent a second cart or enroll in recycling through Republic Services if you regularly have more, and remove carts you do not need so you are not billed for them.
