Each outlet sets its own acceptance and hours, and the city notes the list is not complete, so a donation is not a substitute for a scheduled pickup when the item is unusable.
Gastonia's self-haul network is the county's. The Gaston County Landfill at 3155 Philadelphia Church Road in Dallas takes household and commercial waste, construction and demolition debris and yard waste with a half ton minimum on each per ton rate, and it accepts electronic equipment during business hours. Electronics elsewhere in the county go to every recycling centre except the Farmers Market and Duke Street, and the convenience sites run on GarbCards bought in advance from a vendor rather than cash, with televisions, monitors and mattresses priced by card and CPUs, peripherals and tires off the rim free.
