Get it ready
Put the load at the curb by 7 a.m. on the scheduled day, within six feet of the curb and at least four feet from mailboxes, poles and vehicles, without blocking the sidewalk and never in the roadway or the gutter or under power lines and trees. Tape, wrap and box mirrors and glass, break down swing sets, basketball goals and trampolines, drain water or sand from a base, and remove oil, gas or liquid from a lawn mower or similar item. Only the items listed on the request form are collected.
Mattresses and box springs are named on the bulk acceptable list, and the county also takes them at five convenience centres with limits and at the South Wake Landfill shredder.

Use one of the eleven centres, open daily 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. outside the listed holidays, and bring residency verification for the mattress and construction debris lines.
Electronics are limited to Sites 1, 4 and 11 on weekends, mattresses and box springs to Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11 with a two a day limit, and household construction debris to Sites 1, 2, 4, 7 and 11 from the homeowner with verification, so the two Wake Forest sites are not the right destination for those streams.
