City cost & eligibility
No charge. An appliance without freon and with a removal certification is named on the Operation Pride allowed list and is covered by the monthly program charge, while an appliance containing freon is refused by the same program.
When & how
Put the prepared appliance out by 7 a.m. on the Monday of the Operation Pride service week, or take it to the drop-off center during posted hours.
Get it ready
Have the refrigerant removed by a qualified technician and keep the certification with the unit, because the program requires the removal certification for an appliance without freon and refuses a unit that still contains it. Empty the appliance, secure or remove the door, and keep it within ten feet of the curb in an accessible open area.
Operation Pride sweeps each section of the city about every eight weeks, and no appointment is needed. Keep all bulky waste within ten feet of the curb, pavement edge or road in an accessible open area, have it out no earlier or later than the weekend before the scheduled Monday and by 7 a.m. that Monday, and keep it away from power lines and low branches so the overhead grappler can reach it. Nothing goes on a gas meter, manhole, sewer clean out, storm sewer or water meter, and bulky waste may not sit in an alley, a yard easement or a driveway.

Commercial and contractor material, hazardous material, asbestos, chemicals, lead based paint, demolition material, vacant property material and trees twelve inches or larger are refused, and the allowance is one dump truck load at a time.

Residential dwellings on city water service inside the city limits only, with a copy of the water bill and a driver's license presented for verification. Appliances with freon, commercial business material, material illegally deposited on lots, commercial truck and tractor tires, hazardous materials, asbestos, chemicals, lead based paint, demolition remodel material, vacant property material, trees twelve inches or larger and household garbage are refused. The center itself sits one mile east of Ardmore High School on Veterans Boulevard to Refinery Road and one block north on Carol Brown Boulevard.
Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:45 p.m., closed Sunday.

Yes. Dropcurb pickup is separate from buying or installing a replacement, so you can book removal on its own. If your new delivery is still ahead, confirm the retailer’s haul-away arrangements before booking a separate pickup.
