Match your item

Construction cleanup starts with the right items.

We currently accept the doors, toilets and bathroom vanities listed here, already detached and ready outside. Choose each item separately. Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted, including in bags.

Doors

Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.

Toilets

Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.

Bathroom vanities

Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

Remodeling and construction debris

Special rules apply

Construction debris is priced by weight at Knott Landfill, clean fill and wood waste are priced by the cubic yard, and asbestos needs a prior county approval. The Negus transfer station caps construction loads at 10 cubic yards.

City cost & eligibility
From $30 for for the first 500 pounds of household garbage or construction debris, with 5.00 for each additional 100 pounds, clean fill and wood waste at 7.00 per cubic yard, and asbestos at 0.06 dollars per pound with a 125.00 minimum and a 50.00 application fee. Households delivering their own load. Asbestos and contaminated soil require an approved Special Waste Disposal Application before delivery, at least 24 hours ahead for asbestos.
When & how
Knott Landfill takes construction loads seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while Negus accepts up to 10 cubic yards Monday to Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Get it ready
Separate clean fill such as concrete, asphalt, brick and ceramic from wood waste and from mixed debris, keep the clean fill within a 3 foot maximum dimension with no rebar protruding more than 12 inches, and keep liquids, paint and hazardous material out of a debris load.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Self-haul loads are weighed, and a secured load earns a rebate

Knott Landfill and the transfer stations charge household garbage and construction debris at $30 for the first 500 pounds plus $5 for each additional 100 pounds, and the county gives a $10 rebate for a load that arrives properly covered and secured under County Ordinance 13.36.040. Cash, check, debit or credit card and mobile pay work at every site except Alfalfa, which takes cash and check only, and recyclables should ride in the vehicle last so they can be dropped off first.

Rates and fees

Knott is open daily, the transfer stations are not

Knott Landfill Recycling and Transfer Facility on Southeast 27th Street is open to the public seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., which makes it the reliable option for a weekend trip. Negus in Redmond and the Southwest station in La Pine run Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Northwest station near Sisters runs Wednesday to Saturday, and Alfalfa opens on Saturdays only, so check the day before a long drive.

Hours and locations

Hazardous material stays out of the household load

The rural transfer stations do not accept hazardous waste at all. Residential hazardous material is accepted free at the Knott Landfill Hazardous Waste Facility on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., covering paints and stains, solvents, fuels, antifreeze, aerosols, cleaners, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, batteries, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, propane tanks, pool and spa chemicals, thermometers and mercury thermostats. Lead acid batteries are free at every transfer station, and alkaline dry cell batteries can go in the regular garbage.

Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Construction debris removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Bend.

How much does construction debris removal cost in Bend?

Pricing is per accepted item. A detached door is $99 as a single item, an ordinary toilet is $79, and a small bathroom vanity is $99. Larger vanities have their own choices. Select the listed items to see the exact combined price. These prices do not cover mixed rubble or loose building materials. Loading, transportation and disposal are included; applicable sales tax appears before payment.

Can I get same-day toilet or vanity pickup in Bend?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup, where available. Checkout shows the dates you can choose. Arrange disconnection, removal and the move outside first, then have the fixture ready by the time in your confirmation. We text you before arrival and provide pickup photos when it is done.

Will you disconnect a sink or take a door off its hinges?

The fixture must already be detached, disconnected and accessible outside at ground level. Arrange plumbing, electrical work, removal from walls or hinges, and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb handles loading and haul-away from your outdoor pickup spot.

Can I add bags of drywall, tile or other demolition waste?

Mixed drywall, tile, concrete, lumber and demolition rubble are not accepted. This page offers pickup for the listed doors, toilets and bathroom vanities that are already removed. Do not book loose building materials as household trash bags or as an extra item. Arrange suitable disposal for those materials with your contractor or a debris specialist.

Can a door, toilet and vanity go in the same pickup?

Yes. Add each listed fixture separately and choose the correct vanity size. Each detached door panel counts as one item. The combined price appears before you book. Keep the fixtures together outside, separate from anything staying, and add a location photo on your order page.

What does a Bend construction load cost?

Household garbage and construction debris are charged at the county minimum for the first 500 pounds plus a rate for each additional 100 pounds at Knott Landfill, where clean fill is priced by the cubic yard within size limits. Asbestos is a separate case that needs an approved county Special Waste Application with an application fee and a minimum charge before it is weighed.Official guidance

Is there a discount for covering my load?

Yes. The county rebates a load that arrives properly covered and secured under County Ordinance 13.36.040, on top of the safety and clean-up reasons the rule exists.Official guidance

Can I bring asbestos to the landfill?

Only with prior approval. Asbestos containing material is accepted at Knott Landfill but the Solid Waste Department needs approval at least 24 hours before delivery, an approved Special Waste Disposal Application at $50, and the disposal rate is $0.06 per pound with a $125 minimum.Official guidance
