Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Oak Grove is unincorporated, so the household's first call is to the franchised garbage and recycling company that serves the address rather than to a city hall, and Clackamas County publishes the price frame the company has to work within. That frame is a bulky waste service covering appliances, furniture and similar items at a minimum of 5 dollars and a maximum of 40 dollars plus weight and special handling, with an hourly fee when an item is not easily accessible, and the county states that the company will collect large appliances and furniture even for a household that is not a regular customer. Two special charges matter: a 30 dollar coolant removal fee applies to anything with refrigerant such as a refrigerator or air conditioner and applies even if the refrigerant has already been removed, and tires carry a handling fee of 5.50 on the rim and 2.00 off the rim on top of disposal. For work the hauler will not take, the county offers clean up containers and dumpsters for construction debris with a container fee, rental, delivery, mileage and a 20 dollar first collection handling fee, and it warns that Oregon requires asbestos testing and documentation before construction, demolition or remodeling debris can be disposed of anywhere. Electronics cannot go in the garbage at all under Oregon law, the hauler will not collect them in regular service, and up to seven qualifying devices can be taken to an Oregon E-Cycles site for free. Paint goes to PaintCare for no fee, and everything else hazardous goes to the Metro South Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2001 Washington St in Oregon City, open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Self hauled loads can also go to the Clackamas County Transfer Station at 19600 SE Canyon Valley Rd in Sandy, open Thursday to Monday with a last load at 4:30 p.m., or to the Metro South Transfer Station in Oregon City, whose hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily in the warmer months and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the winter, with both closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

TV removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Oak Grove.

How much does TV removal cost in Oak Grove?

A flat-screen TV under 42 inches is $79 as the first item and $19 as an additional item. Larger flat screens and tube TVs have their own prices. Loading, transportation and disposal are included. Choose the type that matches your TV and review your total, including any applicable tax, before payment.

Can I get same-day TV pickup in Oak Grove?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup. Choose from the dates offered at checkout and have the TV outside according to your confirmation. We text you when your hauler is on the way and provide photos when the pickup is done.

Will Dropcurb remove my TV from the wall or carry it downstairs?

You arrange unmounting, disconnection and indoor carrying before pickup. Dropcurb starts at an accessible outdoor location, where we load your TV and take it away. If you need help removing a mounted TV or moving a heavy tube TV outside, arrange that separately before your pickup day.

Do you pick up old tube or CRT televisions?

Yes. Choose Tube TV for an older television with curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Its price is $249 as the first item and $249 as an additional item. A rear-projection television is a different item; send a photo before booking rather than choosing the tube-TV option.

Does my old TV have to work?

Your TV does not need to turn on for removal. Choose its type and size and arrange to have it outside before pickup. A non-working TV and a TV with exposed broken glass are different situations; send a photo of unusual damage so we can confirm the plan before you book.

Can a television go in the garbage in Oak Grove?

No. The hauler states that computers, televisions, laptops and monitors are banned from disposal as garbage in Oregon, that they must not be placed in the trash, recycling bin or at the curb, and that electronics cannot be collected in regular service. Clackamas County points residents to Oregon E-Cycles collection sites, which take up to seven qualifying items at a time for free recycling, and to the Metro find a recycler tool and the 503-234-3000 line.Official guidance
