The transfer station charges a self haul minimum of 27.48 dollars for a load up to 320 pounds and 167.19 dollars a ton above that, with a senior rate of 16.91 dollars for a load up to 320 pounds per the rate sheet effective July 1, 2025, and Hudson Garbage quotes any curbside or container arrangement separately at 503-397-1534, so confirm the route and the price before the mattress leaves the property.

The transfer station is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closes on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, with early closings at 1 p.m. on Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress out of every cart, cover or secure the load for the trip because an unsecured load carries a published charge, and plan for the weight minimum so a single mattress is not worth a separate trip. Combine the mattress with other household waste that the carts will not take.
An unsecured load carries a published 19 dollar charge at the transfer station scale, and loads are charged by weight with a minimum for the first 320 pounds of household waste. Cover or tie down the load before leaving home.
