When & how
The transfer station takes loads Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a container is delivered on the schedule the hauler agrees to.
Get it ready
Furniture can go in a roll off container or a short term container, or into a self hauled load, and a couch or dresser should be placed so it can be lifted without a second person. Keep furniture out of the recycling cart, which refuses metal longer than eighteen inches or heavier than five pounds, and out of the garbage cart, which takes only bagged household trash.
An unsecured load carries a published 19 dollar charge at the transfer station scale, and loads are charged by weight with a minimum for the first 320 pounds of household waste. Cover or tie down the load before leaving home.
