Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it will come apart so the load is dense rather than bulky, tie the cord and loose parts to the frame, remove any battery pack so it is handled as a battery rather than as garbage, and keep the machine out of the recycling cart.
Bulky items leave through a hauler container or a self hauled load at the county transfer station, because the curbside carts take only normal household trash.

Get it ready
Sort the load before the trip because the transfer station charges different rates for household waste, yard debris and recycling, and separate the free items, such as scrap metal, cardboard, glass, motor oil, cooking oil, architectural paint and electronics, into their own bins rather than paying the waste rate for them. Secure the load on the way, because an unsecured load carries a published charge.
Garbage, recycling and yard debris go out the night before the service day or by 6 a.m. on it, at least three feet from any other cart and six feet from vehicles. Collection runs Monday through Friday and stops only for New Year's Day and Christmas.
The grey cart takes food and normal household trash, and it refuses antifreeze or motor oil, appliances, asbestos, ashes, car batteries, chemicals, dead animals, dirt or rocks, liquid paint, medical sharps, medical waste, recycling, tires and yard waste. Anything on that list goes to the county transfer station or into a hauler container instead.
