Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Fitness machines are not named in the city rate schedule, so the hauler has to say whether the machine is a bulky item on the regular truck or a special collection.

Single family homes have garbage and recycling collected every Thursday, with yard debris on the same weekly service under the basic monthly charge. Containers go to the street by 6 a.m., three feet apart with the lids opening toward the street and at least three feet from cars, trees and mailboxes.
Garbage, recycling and yard debris are collected on all holidays except Christmas Day and New Year's Day. When the collection day falls on or after one of those two holidays, service is one day later that week, with Friday customers served on Saturday.

From $29.49 for the published basic monthly charge for the smallest 20 gallon garbage cart in the city rate schedule effective October 1, 2025, with 35 gallon at $35.61, 60 gallon at $42.38 and 90 gallon at $51.77 and each tier including weekly garbage, yard debris and recycling. Arrange it
Keep everything in the WM carts with the lids closed, put the carts at the street by 6 a.m. and at least three feet apart, and call WM customer service to start, change or stop service.
The monthly charge covers the carts only. Bulky items, appliances, extra bags or containers, contamination and off curb collection carry their own published charges, and hazardous waste is not collected at the curb.

Open to the general public during posted hours. Minimum charges cover loads up to 240 pounds, heavier loads pay a per ton rate plus a $30 transaction fee at staffed scales, and a 2 per cent processing fee applies to credit cards.
Arrange it
Load up and drive to 6161 NW 61st Ave in Portland, open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, and separate the load where you can because sorted material pays a lower rate.
Vehicles, asbestos material, burned material and wildfire ash, roofing, loads of liquids, petroleum contaminated soil, radioactive metals and electric vehicle batteries are not accepted, and the site closes to the public on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
Troutdale residents have two ways to move material that will not fit in a cart. The hauler collects bulky items, appliances, console televisions, furniture and building materials by special arrangement at the city's published per item rates, with the Metropolitan tip fee added to bulky items and refrigerated appliances. Anyone who would rather haul their own load can use Metro Central at 6161 NW 61st Ave in Portland, open to the public 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, where mattresses and box springs are free up to four a day, metal appliances and electronics are free, coolant appliances are charged, tires and general garbage carry published minimums of $37 to $51 for loads up to 240 pounds, and household hazardous waste is free at the co-located facility.
