Mattress & bed removal in HendersonvilleCity collection A mattress is not named as acceptable, but the refusal list only rules out bedding with living pests, so the piece is confirmed first. No Hendersonville page names mattresses as an accepted bulk item and no per piece price is published. The refusal list refuses only a mattress or furniture with living pests such as bed bugs, which the city reads as a condition rather than a category ban, so call public works at 615-822-1016 and confirm that a clean mattress counts as one of the two weekly bulk items.

Bags & household clutter in HendersonvilleCity collection Waste Pro collects household trash once a week under the city contract, with a published allowance of two cans, two bags and two bulk items. The city contracts the collection and publishes the service standards rather than a household rate, so confirm the current billing and any charge with public works at 615-822-1016 or the contracted hauler. Backdoor collection is an upgrade through the hauler or a medical waiver, and its terms are separate.

The local disposal guide
Hendersonville Public Works owns the waste program and contracts the weekly route to Waste Pro, which makes the weekly allowance the centre of the service: two cans of up to 96 gallons, two bags and two bulk items, all out by 6 a.m. on the collection day. A refrigerator is a bulk item only if the refrigerant or compressor has been pulled and tagged, and the city asks the resident to call after a professional does that work. Some things never go out at all: construction material, glass doors and table tops, motors and grills with the tank still on, tires and vehicle parts, wet paint and hazardous waste are refused, as is any mattress or furniture with living pests. There is no curbside recycling and no city drop-off for it, so paper and cardboard go to the county resource authority or a retailer, while the city runs its own paper yard bag route, its own limb crews on three rotating zones and a Saturday yard waste drop-off on Forest Retreat Road.
