Set the mattress and box spring at the curb by 7 a.m. on your collection day, and keep the pair inside the two item limit for that day.
Get it ready
A mattress and its box spring each count as one item, so the pair uses the whole two item allowance for that collection day, and no bag or wrap is required on either piece.
Heavy or bulky trash is offered on every service day, so most pieces can ride with a regular collection. Large items are limited to one or two, yard debris to five bags under forty pounds, and limbs, fence pickets, lumber, carpet and flooring to five tied bundles under forty pounds and four feet with limb diameter under three inches. Trash goes out by 7 a.m., no less than three feet from the street with four feet of clearance all around, and never behind a gate because the crew will not enter a fenced yard.

The crew will not collect construction debris, contractor waste or hazardous material, so the container is for household bulky waste rather than a demolition load.
