Keep the bulky pile inside the two cubic yard allowance, which is about the size of a washing machine, tie or bundle brush in pieces no larger than four feet by two feet and no heavier than 50 pounds each, and box loose household debris in a disposable container no larger than two feet by two feet by four feet weighing no more than 50 pounds. Single items over 150 pounds, commercial or loose construction debris, tires, batteries, propane tanks and household hazardous waste are refused.
Appliances are named on the acceptable bulky list, including washing machines, dryers, water heaters, kitchen appliances and refrigerators or freezers, with one extra requirement for the cooling units: the unit has to be tagged certifying that the refrigerant has been removed.
