No Cypress authority names mattresses as a free curbside item. The hauler that serves much of the Cypress area does name them, in its own FAQ, among the bulky items it collects for a fee, and the county facility refuses them because heavy trash is not accepted there. The district's heavy trash list names furniture, appliances, carpeting and fencing without mentioning bedding.
City cost & eligibility
Texas Pride Disposal states that bulky items such as mattresses can be collected for a reasonable fee but publishes no amount, and the district heavy trash allowance does not name bedding. Call the hauler on 281-342-8178 or the district that serves the address and confirm the route and the price before the mattress goes out.

Book the pickup first, then put the mattress curbside on the collection day the hauler or district gives you rather than leaving it out unannounced.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and wrapped if it has to wait outside, keep it curbside rather than at the backdoor, and keep it out of the yard waste pile because yard waste is limited to vegetation under 50 pounds.
Cypress has no city collection, so the district sets the rules
Cypress is unincorporated, and curbside service comes from the utility district or municipal utility district that serves the address. The Cypress-Klein Utility District publishes garbage on Wednesday and Saturday with recycling on Saturday, backdoor service starting at 7 a.m., and a second curbside only garbage collection on Saturdays with waste out by 11 a.m. The same district now names a different hauler for trash questions than the one on its own trash procedures page, so the first call should confirm the current contractor for the address.
