When & how
Set the furniture out on the standard collection day. A piece past the three foot by three foot by twelve foot limit has to be scheduled with Republic at 817.317.2000 as an extra pickup.
Get it ready
Keep the pile within four cubic yards for the week, cut brush to lengths of four feet or less and bundle it under 50 pounds a bundle, and keep bricks, concrete, tiles, tires, car parts and electronics out of the pile because the town refuses them in bulk trash.
Trash goes in the cart, bagged, with the lid closed and no more than 100 pounds per cart, and recyclables stay loose rather than bagged. Carts go to the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, no earlier than 8 a.m. the day before and no later than 8 a.m. the day after, within two feet of the street edge with the handles facing the house so the lid opens toward the street and well clear of the mailbox.
Four cubic yards a week and a size limit per piece
Bulk and brush collection runs weekly on the standard collection day, with up to four cubic yards at the curb each week and each bulk piece limited to three feet by three feet by twelve feet. Brush is cut to four feet or less, bundled and tied, and kept under 50 pounds per bundle.
One free landfill trip a month with proof of residency
Residents may make one trip with up to ten cubic yards of waste each month to the Camelot Landfill at 580 Huffines Blvd in Lewisville at no charge, with proof of residency from a driver's licence or photo identification and a Flower Mound water bill in the same name. Loads beyond that, and non compactable items such as bricks and concrete, carry additional charges, and hard hats and a covered load are required.
