A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches, sofas and household furniture

Accepted with preparation

Furniture is named on the town's acceptable bulk list and is collected weekly on the standard collection day within the four cubic yard allowance, with the size limit applying to each piece.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Weekly bulk and brush pickup of up to four cubic yards is included in the residential rate that the town bills through the utility account, which is $16.05 plus tax a month until October 1, 2026 and $20.40 plus tax a month from that date.
When & how
Set the furniture out on the standard collection day. A piece past the three foot by three foot by twelve foot limit has to be scheduled with Republic at 817.317.2000 as an extra pickup.
Get it ready
Keep the pile within four cubic yards for the week, cut brush to lengths of four feet or less and bundle it under 50 pounds a bundle, and keep bricks, concrete, tiles, tires, car parts and electronics out of the pile because the town refuses them in bulk trash.

Carts out by 7 a.m., handles to the house

Trash goes in the cart, bagged, with the lid closed and no more than 100 pounds per cart, and recyclables stay loose rather than bagged. Carts go to the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, no earlier than 8 a.m. the day before and no later than 8 a.m. the day after, within two feet of the street edge with the handles facing the house so the lid opens toward the street and well clear of the mailbox.

Four cubic yards a week and a size limit per piece

Bulk and brush collection runs weekly on the standard collection day, with up to four cubic yards at the curb each week and each bulk piece limited to three feet by three feet by twelve feet. Brush is cut to four feet or less, bundled and tied, and kept under 50 pounds per bundle.

One free landfill trip a month with proof of residency

Residents may make one trip with up to ten cubic yards of waste each month to the Camelot Landfill at 580 Huffines Blvd in Lewisville at no charge, with proof of residency from a driver's licence or photo identification and a Flower Mound water bill in the same name. Loads beyond that, and non compactable items such as bricks and concrete, carry additional charges, and hard hats and a covered load are required.

Town of Flower Mound Utility Billing with Republic Services

Use the weekly bulk and brush collection

A Flower Mound household with furniture, a mattress, an appliance, water heaters, toilets, yard waste or bundled brush to put out on the standard collection day.

Cost & conditions
No charge. Weekly bulk and brush collection of up to four cubic yards is included in the residential service that the town bills through the utility account, which is $16.05 plus tax a month until October 1, 2026 and $20.40 plus tax a month from that date, with a senior rate and separate charges for additional carts.
Arrange it
Set the material out on the standard collection day within the weekly allowance, with each piece inside the three foot by three foot by twelve foot limit.

Hazardous waste, electronics, car parts, tires, and non compactible material such as bricks and concrete are refused in the bulk pile, and a freon appliance has to be tagged by a certified technician first. Oversized pieces need the hauler's hourly special pickup.

Town of Flower Mound Utility Billing with Republic Services

Schedule the hauler's extra pickup

A household with a bulk piece larger than the size limit or a load past the four cubic yard weekly allowance.

Cost & conditions
From $45 per hour with a one hour minimum for a special pickup, paid directly to Republic Services. Scheduled with Republic Customer Service at 817.317.2000, and the town notes the hauler will also quote a special pickup for yard waste beyond the weekly allowance.
Arrange it
Call Republic at 817.317.2000, describe the load, and pay the hauler directly for the pickup rather than through the town utility bill.

The charge is hourly with a one hour minimum, so the total depends on the labour the load takes, and the same refused items apply because electronics, hazardous waste and non compactible material cannot ride in a bulk load.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Self haul in Flower Mound mostly means the Camelot Landfill at 580 Huffines Blvd in Lewisville, where residents may make one trip a month with up to ten cubic yards of waste at no charge. Bring the driver's licence or photo identification together with a Flower Mound water bill in the same resident name, cover the load, and bring a hard hat because none are loaned. Loads over ten cubic yards and non compactable items such as bricks, concrete and composition shingles cost extra, the free trip is not for commercial work, and the gate is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Household chemicals and electronics do not go to the landfill: the town runs a from home collection with Republic Services that residents book by form, by phone at 469.451.3713 or by email, with a kit mailed out for preparation and items placed on the front porch by 7 a.m. on the collection day. Clothing and small household goods can be donated through Donate 2 Impact at 972.619.7880, and the town's recycling page points residents to Time to Recycle and Recycle Texas Online for items the curbside programme will not take.
