Treadmill, walking pad or commercial model?
Household treadmill includes folding home models with a tall console. Choose Walking pad for a compact under-desk model, or Commercial treadmill for a large gym machine. All equipment opens those choices.
An exercise bike, elliptical or rower
Spin, upright, recumbent and air bikes all use Exercise bike, including Peloton and other brands. One elliptical includes its connected base, handles and pedals. Rowing machines and Pilates reformers have their own choices.
Weights, racks and benches
Add together the pounds of loose dumbbells, kettlebells, plates and barbells. Free weights are priced in 10 lb units, rounding the combined weight up. For example, 25 lb uses three units. Add a stand, rack or bench separately if it is going too.

Exercise equipment is not named on any town list, so the machine is confirmed with the hauler, and if it qualifies it rides the same weekly bulk collection as furniture within the size limit.

No rate or rule is published for an exercise machine. Call Republic Customer Service at 817.317.2000 and confirm whether the machine is collected as bulk material within the size limit or needs the hourly special pickup, which carries a one hour minimum.
When & how
Confirm the item first, then set it out on the standard collection day, or schedule the extra pickup if it exceeds the bulk size limit.
Get it ready
Break the machine down as far as it comes apart, remove loose weights and the console, and keep it inside the three foot by three foot by twelve foot limit so it does not need the hourly pickup. Keep it out of the trash cart and the recycling cart.
Trash goes in the cart, bagged, with the lid closed and no more than 100 pounds per cart, and recyclables stay loose rather than bagged. Carts go to the curb by 7 a.m. on the collection day, no earlier than 8 a.m. the day before and no later than 8 a.m. the day after, within two feet of the street edge with the handles facing the house so the lid opens toward the street and well clear of the mailbox.
Four cubic yards a week and a size limit per piece
Bulk and brush collection runs weekly on the standard collection day, with up to four cubic yards at the curb each week and each bulk piece limited to three feet by three feet by twelve feet. Brush is cut to four feet or less, bundled and tied, and kept under 50 pounds per bundle.

Weekly bulk and brush collection of up to four cubic yards is included in the residential service that the town bills through the utility account, which is $16.05 plus tax a month until October 1, 2026 and $20.40 plus tax a month from that date, with a senior rate and separate charges for additional carts.

Hazardous waste, electronics, car parts, tires, and non compactible material such as bricks and concrete are refused in the bulk pile, and a freon appliance has to be tagged by a certified technician first. Oversized pieces need the hauler's hourly special pickup.
