When & how
Reserve the collection by calling 972.392.9300 option 2 no later than the 15th of the month before, then put the material out on the first Wednesday of the following month.
Get it ready
Erase stored data, place the devices in a cardboard box outside the supplied bag, keep batteries and fluorescent tubes out of the bag as well, and never fill the bag with pool chemicals because that can start a fire. Electronics are not on the accepted bulky list, so they do not go out with the Wednesday pile.
Hazardous waste is a booked doorstep pickup, not a kerb pile
The household hazardous waste and used electronics collection happens on the first Wednesday of the month and has to be reserved with the hauler by the 15th of the month before, at least two weeks ahead, so that a kit can be mailed. Only the supplied bag is used, it is not overfilled and is closed securely, and it goes at the doorstep or in front of the home where it is visible from the street rather than at the kerb. Electronics, auto batteries and fluorescent tubes go outside the bag in a cardboard box, and pool chemicals must never go in the bag because they can start a fire.
