The local disposal guide
Forney franchises everything to Community Waste Disposal, and the whole programme runs on Wednesday. Trash goes out in the household's own receptacle and recycling in the CWD poly-cart, both at the front kerb by 7 a.m., and bulk waste and brush ride the same day beside the trash receptacle rather than on a separate appointment. A household may set out four cubic yards of bulky waste and loose brush per collection, while tied and bundled brush has no quantity limit and is cut to four foot lengths of no more than fifty pounds. The accepted bulky list names furniture, washing machines, dryers, water heaters, kitchen appliances, refrigerators and freezers with a refrigerant removal tag, bundled carpet, fence panels up to four feet by six feet, bagged thorny vines, tagged toys and yard tools, and extra trash bags. Construction and remodelling debris, concrete, rock, stone, tires, batteries, propane tanks, household hazardous waste and anything single over 150 pounds are refused. Paint, oils, aerosols, used motor oil, auto batteries, fluorescent tubes and televisions go through the city's door-side hazardous waste and used electronics collection, booked with CWD by the 15th for the first Wednesday of the next month.
