From $21 for minimum fee per collection stop for up to three cubic yards of special collection material at the curb, with an additional $7.50 for each cubic yard above three cubic yards, billed to the utility account for the address that generated the waste. When & how
Put the furniture out on the scheduled weekly garbage day, since the special collection runs with the regular route and placing it at the curb grants permission for the pickup. Do not mix it with brush, because brush is picked up separately.
Get it ready
Keep the pile clear of containers, fences, low hanging wires, parked vehicles and other obstacles so the collection vehicle has room, and keep construction material, tires, rock, dirt and liquids out of it because those are prohibited at the curb.
One container, one weekly day and a six bag yard waste limit
Killeen splits into four collection areas with garbage service on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday route, and the monthly garbage fee for a 96-gallon container is $19.78. Included in that fee are one weekly collection of garbage or rubbish in the city roll-out container and one weekly collection of yard waste, which is leaves, grass clippings and shrub trimmings in bags only with a six bag limit. Containers go out no earlier than 8 p.m. the evening before and no later than 7 a.m. on the collection day, placed at or near the driveway about four feet from any mailbox, obstacle or other container with the wheels and handle towards the residence.

Placing the material out grants permission for the pickup. The examples the city publishes are furniture such as couches, chairs, mattresses, bed frames and tables, appliances such as water heaters, stoves, washing machines and dryers, other bulky waste such as barbecue grills, toys, ironing boards and lawn furniture, and excess garbage in sturdy plastic bags or boxes under 50 pounds. The charge is a minimum of $21 per collection stop for up to three cubic yards plus $7.50 for each additional cubic yard, and excess garbage reloads during the regular route are $10.00 each.
