When & how
Send the bulk pickup request with a detailed list of items no later than 3 p.m. two business days before the garbage service day, wait for Resource Recovery to confirm the request, and put the items neatly at the curb for the pickup on the garbage service day during the first full week or the third week of the month.

Box or bag small items, keep each pickup within 3 cubic yards, keep the pile clear of mailboxes, parked vehicles, trees and utility lines, and cut carpet into 4 foot strips weighing under 35 pounds with no more than four rolls in one pickup.
Garbage is collected once a week and recycling and green waste every other week on the service route, carts are serviced between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m., the arrows on the lids point toward the street, carts sit 3 feet apart and clear of mailboxes, parked vehicles, trees and utility lines, and carts go back to the house or behind a fence by 9 p.m. on the service day.
