Will the city
take it?

Sherman runs a monthly call-in bulk and brush program for households with an active City utility account, and the same department runs a staffed drop-off station for loose material and items the curbside program refuses. Both routes publish their own rates, so the choice depends on whether the pile can wait for the monthly collection.

The handoff matters

Right item.
Right place.

Two separate piles, three feet clear

Bulk waste and brush go out as two separate piles at the curb, at least three feet from mailboxes, carts, poles, signs and trees, clear of overhead lines and branches, and never in an alley or driving lane.

City bulk and brush collection rules

Request the pickup, do not assume it

The monthly program is call-in only, so the pile waits at the curb until the request is made through the app, the website or the bulk waste line.

City bulk and brush collection rules

Tag the refrigerant removal

Appliances that contain Freon must have the refrigerant removed and carry a tag from a licensed company or individual before they are placed out.
