The local disposal guide
Waxahachie contracts with Waste Connections for bagged garbage twice a week, up to 10 bags a day with each bag no more than 35 pounds, and recycling once a week, with bags only at the curb and no bins or cans. Brush, leaves and bulky items are ordered services: free brush collection up to four times a year, two free leaf collections, bagged yard waste on the first Wednesday of each month for a charge, one bulk item of 50 pounds or less per resident each calendar year, and extra loads priced by the size of the load. Everything the curb will not take, including construction waste, appliances, mattresses and tires, goes to the Citizens Convenience Station at 499 Lions Park Road on Tuesday through Saturday.
