Electronics are priced in the City's bulk and heavy schedule, from small devices up to large televisions, and go out with the monthly bulk collection or by a call-in curbside pickup for residents with a current utility account.
City cost & eligibility
From $15 per electronic item on the published bulk and heavy schedule, which lists VCRs, stereos, laptops and small printers in the small band, televisions under fifty pounds, CRT monitors and microwaves in the medium band, and large televisions in the large band. The rates took effect October 1, 2025, and the item has to go out with the monthly bulk collection for the quadrant rather than in the regular trash.
When & how
Place the device out the weekend before the bulk collection day for the quadrant, clear of overhead lines, meters and mailboxes, or call Utility Billing on 817.598.4225 or the Solid Waste and Recycling Department on 817.598.4154 to have it picked up at the curb instead. The call-in pickup is open to Weatherford residents holding a current utility account.
Get it ready
Wipe stored data from computers, laptops and phones before handover, and keep electronics out of the regular trash, which takes bagged household waste only. A television that is large or heavy falls in a higher band than a small device, so confirm the band when the item is set out.
Bulk collection happens once a month for paying customers inside the city limits. Quadrant one collects in the first week of the month, quadrant two in the second, quadrant three in the third and quadrant four in the fourth, with each quadrant's street list published, and items go to the curb the weekend before the collection day.
Bulk items go near the curb and clear of low power lines, trees, water meters, gas meters, cable boxes and mailboxes so the crew can reach them without damage. The same clearance applies to electronics, appliances and construction material on the monthly collection.
Tires, batteries, hazardous chemicals, paint, motor oil, oil filters and liquids of any kind are not part of Weatherford collection, and air conditioners are refused with the bulk pile. Household hazardous material moves through a voucher bought at the City Hall customer service desk under the City's agreement with Fort Worth.
Use a permitted, accessible outdoor spot. Arrange the move out of your home, keep shared access clear and follow your confirmation’s readiness instructions. Check with your building about access or staging limits before booking.

Tires, paint, batteries, chemicals, air conditioners and refrigerators with the compressor still connected are refused, and a refrigerator needs a licensed technician certificate on file.
