City cost & eligibility
Mattresses are not named on the bulk schedule, the event page or the recycling list, and no bedding price is published, so call the hauler on 972-392-9300 option 2 and confirm whether the piece rides the bulk collection or needs a special collection.
When & how
Confirm the piece first, then set it out with the bulk material on the scheduled week or book the special collection.
Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and out of the carts, and keep it within the four cubic yard curbside limit if it goes out with the scheduled bulk collection.
The four cubic yard bulk limit and what to do over it
Bulk and brush follow the published schedule for the household service day with a four cubic yard limit. A larger load has three published options: the residential bulk and brush drop-off on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at the public works yard on Hensley Lane, the Garland landfill drop-off for a fee on weekdays and Saturday, or a special collection booked with the hauler for a price quote.

Can you pick up my old mattress when my new one arrives?+
You can choose an offered pickup day around your replacement delivery. First check whether the retailer already includes old-mattress removal, and arrange who will bring it outside if needed.
