When & how
Set the mattress and box spring out by 7 a.m. on the household's monthly bulky Saturday, and report a missed collection to the operator on 972.392.9300 option 2.
Get it ready
Keep the set dry and inside the six cubic yard limit, lay it flat rather than leaning it against a cart, mailbox or fence, and keep it out of the garbage and recycling carts.
Trash is weekly and recycling and compost run on the same day, with recycling every other week. Carts go out no later than 7 a.m. for a pickup window between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., at least three feet apart and three feet from mailboxes, cars, fences, gas meters and drainage ditches, with 16 feet of clearance above the cart and the wheels facing the residence. Carts come back inside or behind the front building line within 24 hours.
