Book the unwanted bags and boxes left after packing. Choose an available pickup day before you hand back the keys, and arrange to have them outside.

A few simple choices turn a mixed pile into a clear booking. No need to estimate how much of a truck it might fill.
Count each trash bag or filled household box. Books and media go by the box. Clothes, bedding and shoes go by the filled bag. Toys packed together have a Box of toys choice. Ask us about unusually heavy or oversized bags and boxes first.
Empty cardboard is a different choice: choose single empty boxes or tied bundles of 10 flattened boxes. Compacted bales have their own weight-based choices and require loading-dock access. A Storage bin choice covers the empty bin itself; ask us to confirm the contents if they are going too.
Add the actual larger item alongside your bags and boxes, such as a sofa, chair or mattress. It has its own price and preparation. Keep construction materials and items needing special handling out of ordinary household bags.

Eagle Mountain publishes no curbside furniture or bulky collection, so a couch is a self-haul, a private hauler arrangement, or a free trip on a city landfill pass. The city's waste FAQ publishes a pass for one pickup load of 6 cubic yards up to 500 pounds at the Intermountain Regional Landfill, claimable up to twice a year from City Hall, and the pass does not cover mattresses, refrigerators, tires with rims, more than one tire without rims, or more than one television or monitor. Both disposal sites take furniture in the ordinary waste stream.
Both disposal sites name mattresses and price them per piece, so bedding leaves on a self-haul trip. The district publishes an each price for every mattress, the landfill publishes a higher each price for both mattresses and box springs, and the district's discounted first mattress applies only to residents of its member cities, which does not include Eagle Mountain.

A new build qualifies for one garbage bin, extra bins come through the city's change request form, and the city publishes a pickup map and a recyclables list. No bulky or special collection is published alongside them, so a large load goes to a disposal site, or a household can use one of the two landfill passes the city offers each year, each covering one pickup load of 6 cubic yards up to 500 pounds.
The handoff matters
The district double charges any load that arrives uncovered or unsecured, at a $13 minimum and a $50 maximum, and it notes that this is state law rather than a local preference. Tarp the truck or trailer before leaving the house, keep material from blowing onto the road, and separate clean concrete, dirt, wood and household waste so each stream is weighed and priced on its own.
Transfer station fees and chargesThe district serves Utah County and names Eagle Mountain among the communities it covers, then lists Eagle Mountain as one of the non-participating cities whose residents pay higher fees, and it requires identification at the gate. For a mixed waste load the district publishes $26 for the first 500 pounds and $52 for 501 to 1,000 pounds for out of district customers, against $13 and $26 in district, which is why the Intermountain Regional Landfill at Fairfield is often the closer and cheaper trip for city households.
