Match the screen

Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

TV stands and other electronics

The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

Dropcurb does not remove TVs from walls or do indoor carrying. Arrange the help you need before pickup day, including the trip down interior stairs or through an elevator.

  2. Choose a permitted outdoor spot.

Use a stable, accessible location with a clear path for loading. Keep the TV separate from anything staying. Check building rules before placing it in a shared pickup area.

Televisions, computers and electronics

Accepted with preparation

Both sites take screens. The landfill publishes an each price for a television and the same for a monitor, and the transfer station includes one household electronic item per load inside the minimum fee and charges a set fee for each additional household unit.

City cost & eligibility
From $5 per television or monitor at the Intermountain Regional Landfill, with the North Pointe transfer station including one household electronic item per load in the minimum load fee and charging 10.00 for each additional household unit. Households delivering their own device. The district treats one typical household electronic item per load as part of the minimum fee, while commercial sized equipment such as copiers is excluded from the household allowance.
When & how
Use either site during its published hours, and group household units into one trip where possible because the district charges per additional unit.
Get it ready
Wipe personal data before handover, keep the screens out of any mixed construction load, and keep batteries with the household hazardous material stream rather than with the electronics.

Eagle Mountain residents pay the out of district rate

The district serves Utah County and names Eagle Mountain among the communities it covers, then lists Eagle Mountain as one of the non-participating cities whose residents pay higher fees, and it requires identification at the gate. For a mixed waste load the district publishes $26 for the first 500 pounds and $52 for 501 to 1,000 pounds for out of district customers, against $13 and $26 in district, which is why the Intermountain Regional Landfill at Fairfield is often the closer and cheaper trip for city households.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

Eagle Mountain's city service is the garbage and recycling cart on the utility account, so anything large is a self-haul or private hauler decision.
