From $32 per ton for construction and demolition debris at the Washington County Landfill, with municipal solid waste at $37.15 per ton, an uncovered load fee of $74.30 as a flat commercial rate, clean dirt and tile at no charge and the transfer station priced at $8.56 per yard. A residential load under one ton in a month is free under the district's residential allowance, any amount above that is charged the municipal solid waste rate, and every load has to be tarped or tied down or the uncovered load fee applies.

Take the load to the Washington County Landfill, open Monday through Friday from 7 in the morning to 5:30 in the afternoon and Saturday from 7 in the morning to 3:30 in the afternoon, and arrive early enough to unload and leave by closing time.

What does the district not take at the curb or in the free bulky pick-up?+
The free bulky pick-up is limited to the published definition, so construction debris, tires and anything else outside it is not part of that route. Hazardous waste is never taken at the curb and only on the district's two collection days, water based and latex paint has to be dried out at home and put in the regular garbage once it is solid, tires are refused from businesses since February 1, 2025, and alkaline, rechargeable and vehicle batteries each have their own drop off rather than the garbage can.Official guidance
