A few pieces, one pickup

Your room has changed. The old furniture can go.

The desk you no longer use. The dresser that doesn’t fit the new layout. The chairs left over after a move. Choose the pieces you’re done with and give them a pickup day, without arranging a quote visit.

Different pieces. One clear total.

Choose each piece

A table and four chairs are five items.

You don’t need to guess how much space your furniture fills in a truck. Match each piece to the catalog, then add its quantity. Your total updates as you go.

Tables and chairs

Choose the table, then add each chair separately. Coffee tables, side tables and dining tables have their own options. A large or substantially heavy table has a different choice.

Dressers and mirrors

Match the dresser’s overall size. Add a separate dresser mirror as its own item if it is leaving too. Empty drawers and keep the belongings you want before moving the dresser outside.

Desks and bookshelves

Choose by construction, not height alone. A basic desk is different from a heavy desk with a substantial body. A tall, lightweight bookcase can still be a standard bookshelf. Empty it first.

Couches, sofas and furniture

Accepted with preparation

Couches with or without a pullout, Lazy Boy sofas, bed frames, bookcases, entertainment centers, filing cabinets and tables are listed on the town bulk schedule without a charge, and a granite table is priced on its own line.

City cost & eligibility
No charge. Inside the Town of Leesburg corporate limits on town curbside collection. The published bulk schedule lists couches, Lazy Boy sofas, bed frames, bookcases, entertainment centers, filing cabinets and tables at no charge, while a granite table carries its own published price that the hauler confirms.
When & how
Book the pickup with Patriot Disposal Services at 703-771-6677 or trash@leesburgva.gov and keep the piece at the curb for the confirmed day. An oversized item left out without a request is not treated as a missed pickup and no crew is sent back for it.
Get it ready
Empty the piece, keep it clear of the Toters, the sidewalk and the storm drains, and leave the pile small enough for the crew to load safely. Ask the hauler about a granite or glass top before the pickup day.

Check that your address is inside the town limits

The town contracts with Patriot Disposal Services for curbside trash, recycling and yard waste at single family homes, townhomes and some businesses inside the corporate limits, and service starts without an account. Some addresses that carry a Leesburg mailing address sit outside the corporate limits and are served by a homeowners association or a permitted county hauler instead, so confirm at 703-771-2790 before you count on a town pickup.

Town toters, set-out window and storage

Each routed household is issued a black trash Toter and a blue recycling Toter with wheels and attached lids, 96 gallon toters for single family homes and 64 gallon toters for townhomes. Trash may go to the curb after 4:00 p.m. the day before pickup and before 4:00 a.m. on the collection day, containers come back in within 12 hours of collection, and empty containers are stored behind the front line of the building.

Bulky items need a request first

Furniture, appliances, mattresses and other items that will not fit in a plastic bag or a can are never collected on a regular trash day, and the town does not treat an item left out without a request as a missed pickup. Call or email Patriot Disposal Services to book the pickup, then keep the pile separate from the trash, the recycling and the yard waste so nothing gets left behind.

Yard waste runs April to November and brush runs year round

Yard waste is collected town-wide on Mondays from April 6 through November 30 in brown paper bags or in cans carrying a yard waste sticker, with a limit of 10 bags or cans per pickup, and from December through March bagged yard waste rides with the regular trash. Yard waste from paid contract work is the contractor's responsibility. Tree limbs are a separate service: the Street Division picks up brush at no charge, so stack limbs between 4 feet and 8 feet long and under 6 inches in diameter at the curb by Sunday evening and keep each pile inside the published volume limit.

Town of Leesburg Public Works with Patriot Disposal Services, and the Loudoun County landfill

Request a bulk pickup from the town contracted hauler

A household inside the town corporate limits with a couch, mattress, appliance, television or another oversized item that will not fit in the trash Toter.

Cost & conditions
The town publishes a per item fee schedule for bulk and oversized collection. Most household furniture, mattresses, box springs and appliances are listed without a charge, while televisions are priced by screen size and computers, printers and several oversized items carry listed prices, so ask Patriot Disposal Services for the price when you schedule.
Arrange it
Call Patriot Disposal Services at 703-771-6677 or email trash@leesburgva.gov, confirm the collection day, and have the item at the curb for that day. Bulk items are collected weekly by request only.

Bulk items are never collected on a regular trash day, an item left out without a request is not treated as a missed pickup, and the schedule marks boats, hot tubs and pool tables as unavailable for pickup.

Town of Leesburg Public Works with Patriot Disposal Services, and the Loudoun County landfill

Take the load to the Loudoun County landfill

A resident who would rather haul the item, including construction debris, treated wood, tires or a cooling appliance, to the county facility on Evergreen Mills Road.

Cost & conditions
From $8 for a minimum of $8 per vehicle, with municipal solid waste and vegetative waste at $78 per ton and construction and demolition waste at $85 per ton, plus per item charges for a refrigerated appliance at $30, a car tire at $10, a truck tire at $15 and a tire on a rim at $30. Material generated in Loudoun County, with cash and credit or debit cards accepted. Tires are limited to residential, government and nonprofit customers at four a day, and commercial customers bringing construction and demolition waste must document the waste origin on arrival.
Arrange it
Enter at 21101 Evergreen Mills Road in Leesburg, sort the load before you arrive, and declare a refrigerated appliance, a tire or a propane tank to the scale operator. The published note says the main gate closes at 4:00 p.m. and that all customers must return to the scales by 4:30 p.m.

Only waste generated in Loudoun County is accepted, tractor trailer loads and land clearing debris are refused, commercial inert waste such as dirt, rock, sand or soil is refused, and registered vehicles are not accepted. Curbside collection is not provided by the county, so this route is a haul it yourself trip.

Taking it somewhere yourself?

A Leesburg household inside the town limits puts trash and recycling in the town issued toters and can place extra bagged trash beside the Toter, but a couch, mattress, appliance, television or any other oversized item has to be requested from Patriot Disposal Services first and is never taken on the regular trash day. Yard waste follows the Monday season, and tree limbs go out for the Street Division brush pass. If you would rather haul the load yourself, the Loudoun County landfill at 21101 Evergreen Mills Road takes material generated in the county, charges by weight with a minimum, adds per item charges for a refrigerated appliance and for tires, and requires a cooling appliance or a tire to be declared to the scale operator on arrival. Before you book

A few things
worth knowing.

Furniture removal, from choosing your item to pickup day in Leesburg.

How much does furniture removal cost in Leesburg?

Choose the type and size of each piece to see its price. For example, a medium dresser is $79 as the first item or $29 as an additional item. Your total starts with the highest first-item price in your selection, then uses the additional-item price for every other item. Review the complete total and any applicable tax before payment.

Can I get same-day furniture pickup in Leesburg?

Book by 2pm at your pickup address for same-day pickup and choose from the dates shown at checkout. Arrange to have the furniture outside according to your confirmation. You receive a text when your hauler is on the way and photos after collection.

Will you remove furniture from inside my apartment?

Dropcurb starts outside. You arrange indoor carrying, including any interior stairs or elevator trip. We load and take away the furniture from an accessible outdoor location. Check your building’s rules and plan the route out before booking.

Can you take several different furniture items in one pickup?

Yes. Add each piece and its quantity to one booking. A dining table and four chairs are five items; a separate mirror is not included with a dresser. You can mix eligible items from different rooms and review their combined total before paying.

Do I need to take furniture apart before pickup?

You arrange any disassembly needed to move the furniture out of your home and into an accessible outdoor pickup spot. Dropcurb does not provide indoor disassembly or carrying. If you are unsure which catalog choice matches a dismantled or unusual piece, send a photo and ask before booking.

How does a couch or furniture pickup work in Leesburg?

Furniture is a requested bulk pickup, not a regular trash day collection, and the town schedule names couches with or without a pullout, Lazy Boy sofas, bed frames, bookcases, entertainment centers, filing cabinets and tables without a charge. Call or email Patriot Disposal Services, the town contracted hauler, to arrange the pickup, then leave the piece at the curb for the day they confirm. A granite table is on its own priced line, so ask about anything stone before it goes out.Official guidance
