Flat screen or tube? Start with the shape.

The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.

Flat-screen TVs

Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.

Tube TVs

An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.

From $40.25 for minimum garbage charge up to 320 pounds at a King County transfer station, with lower minimum rates for separated clean wood and yard waste and a per ton rate above 320 pounds. King County service area residents. Clean wood, scrap metal, cardboard and yard waste must be separated out of garbage, and separated recyclables are taken at no charge.
Arrange it
Drive to 13800 SE 32nd Street in Bellevue during transfer station hours, stop at the scale, and pay by card, cash or Apple Pay. Mattresses, appliances, clean wood and scrap metal are diverted to their own areas.

Bellevue households that move their own loads use the Factoria Recycling and Transfer Station at 13800 SE 32nd Street, open Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Clean wood, scrap metal, cardboard and yard waste have to be sorted out of garbage before the load is tipped, mattresses, futons and box springs are recycled at a per item handling fee, and major appliances and metal scrap are recycled rather than disposed. Household hazardous waste, including oil-based paint, thinners, motor oil and propane tanks, goes to the household hazardous waste building at the same address, which is closed Monday and free to King County residents. Vehicles plus trailers are limited to a combined 40 feet, and an unsecured load adds a fee.
