The TV’s type and size determine which item to choose. A new model and an old model can use the same option if their shape and screen size match.
Flat-screen TVs
Measure the screen diagonally, corner to corner, without the frame. Choose under 42 inches or 42 inches and larger. A TV measuring exactly 42 inches belongs to the larger option.
Tube TVs
An older tube or CRT television has curved glass and a deep, heavy body. Choose Tube TV even if its screen is small. A rear-projection TV is different; send a photo before booking so we can check the fit.
TV stands and other electronics
The TV price covers the television. Add a media console, computer monitor or other item separately if it is going too. Choose only what you want removed and review the combined price.

When & how
Put a small item out with the scheduled special item collection on the collection day, or bring a television or computer to a registered E-Cycle collector or the Recology Store during its open hours.
Get it ready
A curbside special item has to be two feet by two feet by two feet or smaller and under sixty pounds, and it goes on top of or beside the blue recycling cart, with the request made by the bill payer on the account. Wipe the personal data off anything that stores it, and call ahead when a screen is cracked, because a location may turn away a badly damaged unit.
Batteries, motor and cooking oil, foam, textiles, small appliances and electronics, fluorescent tubes and bulbs, and empty camping propane canisters can go out at the curb when the bill payer requests the collection. Batteries go in a sealed bag with the ends taped and rechargeable batteries in a separate sealed bag, motor and cooking oil go in separate clear leak-free jugs labeled with the address at three gallons each, foam is clean and bagged at a thirty-two gallon limit, tubes are wrapped and bagged with a four foot maximum and a two per collection limit, and a small appliance or electronic item has to be two feet by two feet by two feet or smaller and under sixty pounds.
