Present the physical utility bill with the sanitation charge when using the courtesy pass, keep children and pets in the vehicle, and note that scavenging is prohibited.

Get it ready
Keep the mattress dry and flat so it can be handled and weighed, and keep it out of the recycling container, which takes paper, cardboard, cans and plastics numbered 1, 2 and 5 only. A mattress and box spring travelling together count as one residential load for the courtesy pass.
The container goes to the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the collection day, three feet from cars, utility poles, other containers and any other obstacle, not under low hanging branches, utility lines or a basketball hoop, with the lid opening toward the street.
