Count each detached door panel separately. Have it removed from its hinges before pickup. A whole installed doorway or garage door is not the same item.
Toilets
Choose Toilet for an ordinary household toilet that has already been disconnected, drained and moved outside. Text a photo before booking if yours is broken or has loose sharp pieces.
Bathroom vanities
Choose the small, standard or large bathroom vanity that matches your sink cabinet. A makeup table has a separate choice. Plumbing disconnection and removal from the wall happen before pickup.

City cost & eligibility
The City states plainly that it does not collect construction debris and that this is not a service it provides. Project material has to move through the contractor, a private container, or a self hauled load to the city landfill, which charges published tipping fees instead of a collection charge.
When & how
Nothing from a project goes out with the weekly collection, so arrange disposal with the contractor or haul the material to the landfill during its open hours.
Get it ready
Keep lumber, brick, block, shingles, tile, drywall and demolition material out of the garbage cart and off the heavy trash pile. The city code definition of trash covers building materials such as lumber, bricks, cement blocks, shingles and wire, and it is not part of the curbside program.
The City does not collect construction debris and says contractors handle what their projects generate. Liquids, paints and other hazardous materials are not collected at the curb, and hazardous waste, medical waste and other dangerous substances cannot go in the carts.

The landfill accepts nonhazardous construction and demolition waste and no longer takes municipal solid waste or garbage apart from the resident dumpsters. Scavenging is prohibited, and hazardous waste, liquids and landscape waste are not part of the program.

Do holidays change the collection day?+
Most holidays do not. The City's published schedule lists Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day with no change, while Juneteenth, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day move the affected pickups one day later, with the Friday pickup going out on Saturday.
