The local disposal guide
Florence collects its own garbage and recycling. The City's Solid Waste and Recycling Department runs one weekly pickup day per address for the green garbage cart and the blue recycling cart, and the same curbside program takes heavy trash: large yard waste, furniture and material from minor household projects such as cabinets or toilets, as long as the pile fits the published size limits. Construction debris is a different matter, because the City states that it does not collect it and that contractors handle what their projects generate, and the city landfill takes nonhazardous construction and demolition waste from inside the city limits instead.
